fashion design

My experience with fashion design began in 2019. While a senior in college, as a personal project and experiment with branding, I launched BUCKSHOT, a fashion capsule of 21 unique items. Though the brand is not currently active, it was a huge success, and I was able to sell over three quarters of the collection. This process involved building a website, developing brand identity, and utilizing different methods of applying a graphic design to the garment. A few of the items were created by hand, involving cut-and-sew, fabric paint, vinyl, and other medium.
Professionally, I worked for a summer as an intern designer at Hollister, a teen lifestyle brand. After receiving a position with Abercrombie & Fitch, I began my career as a junior graphic designer in the Kids category. There, I primarily worked on graphic tees as well as leading my team in Outerwear, Swimwear, and Sleepwear Design. The retail fashion industry is intense and fast-paced; some skills I honed were scaling graphics for screen print, ensuring color accuracy from our foreign factory partners, and creating graphic designs based on business input, trend research, and preexisting brand identity.
